Mantels Direct features an extensive selection of fireplace mantel shelves available in several wood types including: Alder, Cherry, Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Maple, MDF, Oak, Pine, and Poplar. Several finishes are available to compliment each wood type. Many of our wood fireplace mantel shelves are available in standard and custom lengths, as well as unique configurations to fit your application (see special shapes and installations). We specialize in custom fireplace mantel shelves and are able to offer them at very affordable prices. You will find that all of our fireplace mantel shelves are easy-to-install. In most cases, adjustable brackets are available to complement your selection. All of our wood mantel shelves are made to order whether they are standard or custom size mantels. Shelves are generally delivered in 3-6 weeks depending on collection.

Gas Log Sets

We offer a great selection of Gas Log Sets. Relax and enjoy a realistic fire without the hassle of a wood fireplace. Simply turn it on and enjoy the beauty of the realistic flame with or without heat. Gas Log Sets are available in Vented Gas Log Sets or Vent-Free Gas Log Sets.

Vented Gas Logs include artistically crafted realistic permanent gas log designs and log burners that generate unsurpassed realism, and include glowing embers that produce some radiant heat. Vented gas logs must be connected to a properly working chimney system. Basic models are lit with a match or lighter, and most models can be fitted with automatic pilot lights and remote controls.

Vent-Free Gas Logs can be installed easily, practically anywhere, since no venting or chimney is required. Vent-free gas logs are design certified and all include a safety pilot system that will shut them off in the event of inadequate fresh air. Manual, thermostat and remote controls are available for Ventless gas logs. Check with local building code officials for special installation requirements.

Complete your mantel surround with one of our Fireplace Surround Facing Kits. We have a wide variety of material and color choices in Natural Stone: Granite, Marble, Travertine and Slate. Our kits include a header, legs and a hearth. All kits either include risers or they are available as an option. See below for color choices. Natural Stone Facing Kits

Our collection of imported natural stone fireplace facing surrounds complement our mantels. Eight sizes of pre-cut sets are offered in a distinctive selection of granites, marble, travertine and slate. Each set includes a hearth, header and legs. A riser is included with Size 1 and is optional with Sizes 2 - 8. Granite, marble, and travertine are 3/4" thick, while black slate is 1/2" thick and green slate is 5/8" thick. Available colors are shown below. If required, custom cuts may be made to your specifications.
